David Singley

Saturday, June 15

  • Born and raised in rural central Illinois, David Singley is a singer-songwriter-guitarist living in Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose music is born of the street, the country, and the academy. An experienced veteran with decades of backing world-class artists and performers, he has recently joined the “Great Resignation” and set his sights on his own artistic pursuits. His music evokes the golden era of the singer-songwriter: the late ’60’s and early-to-mid ’70’s; with its chameleonic stylistic twists and turns, as well as its memorable melodies and insightful, poetic lyrics. His music expresses a point-of-view that is at once highly personal and triumphantly global. His voice evokes traces of many of his influences: James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, Jackson Browne, Dan Fogelberg, and many others. His guitar playing is at once highly focused and passionate, impressive yet always absolutely appropriate to the song at hand.

His 2021 album, The Long, Slow Fuse of Night, as well as his last seven singles, have all charted on Americana radio and have received substantial notice on YouTube. His next album, Fools & Mystics, is set for an April 1, 2024 release, and the first new single from that album, “Paradise,” is set to drop on February 27, 2024. Follow up singles “Cartoon Heart,” and “Don’t Worry ‘Bout Mama No More,” are set for Spring and Summer, 2024 releases.

Influenced by an impressive lineup of rock, country, and Americana icons like Tom Petty, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, CCR, Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Pardon, Miranda Lambert, Emmylou Harris, Chris Stapleton, John Prine, and so many more; their music is a vibrant tapestry of timeless classics that will have you singing along and dancing from the first note.

But the magic doesn't stop there! They also bring their own unique flavor to the stage with their original songs, showcasing their exceptional talent as both performers and songwriters. It's a night that promises to entertain and delight music lovers of all ages.

Greg McFaden, raised in Nashville, started on drums at the age of 8, and learned rhythm guitar in his 20's. He puts his many years of music experience, along with his audio engineering degree from Full Sail to work for Jukebox Winos.

Debbie Olson, raised in Branson, started singing 11 years ago. Her message is "It's never to late to follow your hearts desires + share God-given talents”. She's loved writing poetry from an early age; and in the last 8 years has focused on learning song-crafting. She really enjoys the co-writing process and has met so many talented writers along the way.

  • Kristen Budde, Tennessee based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, crafts songs that are honest and thoughtful with lyrics that are woven together like a conversation with a close friend. With vocals and melodies that can be both powerful and gentle, Kristen’s music is a blend of Americana and folk and her voice has been described as bringing life and light into a room. Kristen has a passion for creating joy-filled connection through the power of music and wholeheartedly believes that music has the ability to heal us.

Budde made her musical debut in 2022 when she released her first single 'Come Sit Down at My Table' which was inspired by hospitality she was shown by dear friends and delves into our need to belong and be seen and heard. Her debut 6-song EP 'Begin Again' was released throughout 2023 and was a fulfillment a life long dream! The songs on Begin Again will take listeners on a journey through wrestling with fear, letting go and finding the courage to truly live. Kristen hopes these songs will inspire courage for listeners to take brave steps to build lives they love and will give hope that it's possible to begin again.

When Kristen’s not busy working on music, you can probably find her sipping coffee on her back porch or singing silly songs she made up for her family and pets!

Layne is thrilled to partner with The Nest and her little sister Lilybelle to put on what is sure to be a spectacular and memorable evening!

  • I began songwriting in 2018 during a summer I decided to take off. During that time, lyrics and melodies began bombarding my mind, and I quickly completed my first album, the Sunshine Projects. It’s now unreleased, (a secret album for the diehard‘s only, shoot me your email for access;)) which is a lighthearted, fun-loving pop effort for the whole family. Since then, I’ve broadened my sonic repertoire releasing singles like the synth-pop breakup anthem Bullet and pop-punk heartbreak banger Enough Again. My newest release, One Last Toast, soars over the empty void of heartbreak and cements itself as my first released ballad.

I’ve participated and placed in numerous songwriting competitions and seek to grow my musicianship and output with a vengeance. Come along for the ride.
